I (27F) am feeling lost in my relationship with my boyfriend (32M). We've been together for 6 years and have known each other for even longer. Lately, I've realized I want to settle down, get married, and maybe start a family, but he seems to avoid talking about these things seriously. On top of that, I've come to know he doesn't want kids at all, which breaks my heart because I always dreamed of having a family. Despite these differences, I love him deeply and can't imagine my life without him. Losing him feels unbearable, and just typing this brings tears to my eyes. He's my best friend and the kindest person I know. The thought of being single again terrifies me because I know I'll be searching for someone just like him in anyone new I meet. I fear the pain of breaking up will be too much, and we'll just end up back together. How do you move forward when the future you want seems impossible? How can I leave someone I love so much?
